Most Popular House Plans for 3rd Quarter of 2014
After a busy third quarter with house plans being sold across the United States to places like Texas, Oklahoma and Virginia, our most popular house plans for the third quarter are a bit surprising. All three plans brought something special to the competition as they’re all different in size, style and floor plans!
Coming in third place for most popular including number of social shares and clicks is the Devonwood House Plan. This house plan features an open and welcoming curb side presentation with a wraparound veranda on both levels which assisted in softening the exterior façade. The unique design allows the interior to be flooded with natural light while giving focus the views of the beautiful and quaint garden and pool areas. The Devonwood house plan has just over 4,000 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, four full baths and two half baths, a parlor, study, upstairs laundry room and three car garage. This floor plan is a wonderful opportunity for anyone with a challenging lot size! Check out the photo gallery here.
The Coronada House Plan comes in second place as most popular house plan for the third quarter. This two-story family/living style home features a unique Mediterranean curb appeal with just over 5,000 square feet of living space and as with most of our house plans, this design is best appointed for properties with panoramic views from the rear yard. Whether it’s nestled on a waterfront lot or sitting stately near the greens of a golf course lot, this floor plan takes advantage of any beautiful vista. The entire back of this Mediterranean home can be opened up by large expanses of zero corner pocket sliding glass doors, protected by a large covered lanai, which spans across the entire rear of the home. A unique Cabana Suite sits just off the covered lanai and features a private entrance, private bath and spacious walk-in closet. It’s perfect for out of town guests or mother-in-law suite. Upstairs, enjoy a wet bar that sits near a bonus room that can function as a game or media room. Check out the photo gallery of the Coronada House Plan here!
The Ambergris Cay House Plan comes in first place for the third quarter! Topping the charts during the last 4 quarters, this new Olde Florida house plan offers almost 1,700 square feet of living space with three bedrooms, two baths and a great room layout. The Ambergris Cay is reminiscent of the traditional Florida cracker homes including a central great room with cupola above, a wide front porch with plenty of windows for natural light and cool cross breezes, hardieboard exterior siding and a standing seam metal roof. While this style may be traditional, this house plan has been designed for modern times to include concrete block construction and a stemwall foundation. Casual simplicity best describes this plan.
