Olde Florida house plan perfect for waterfront lot

Our talented designers and architects here at Weber Design Group have completed the custom design of an Olde Florida house plan for a waterfront lot in Royal Harbor, Naples, Florida. This three story home offers 4,435 square feet of livable space and features a great room layout with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and one half bath, a private study, spacious master suite and an inviting outdoor living space.
Traditionally, Olde Florida architecture sometimes referred to as the Florida Cracker style, is great for Florida’s climate. Olde Florida homes are usually wood framed with high pitched ceilings and include large attached verandas, a metal roof with a cupola and lots of windows. This minimalist design contributes to an attractive yet low maintenance home which can be easily cooled for energy efficiency. This makes these style homes also perfect for Caribbean living as well.
The overall facade of the home was inspired by the traditional Olde Florida style with vertical and horizontal hardie board siding, metal roof, decorative railings, Bermuda shutters and wooden brackets. A dual staircase is flanked by two car garages and lead up to the main level entry.
From the foyer, a grand staircase ascends to the third level which is dedicated solely to the master suite. With vaulted ceilings throughout, the master bedroom features a private balcony, upstairs laundry room, a massive walk-in closet and a luxurious spa bathroom with four operable awning windows in the walk-in shower. A private study of this house plan sits on the opposite end of the third level and is highlighted by a cupola with windows on all four sides for an ample amount of natural light.
Back downstairs to the main living level, a long gallery equally splits four guest rooms, each having their own walk-in closet, private bathroom with makeup vanities and unique design features including a cantilevered window seat and private balcony access. At the end of the gallery, the main level opens up to 46-feet of combined living space incorporating the great room, dining room and kitchen.
This lovely great room olde florida house plan features a gas fireplace, high vaulted ceilings with wood beams and direct access to the covered lanai. The dining room has a coffered ceiling design and center-opening glass sliders that also open up to the covered lanai. The kitchen is functional and spacious with a large central island with seating for five, a roomy walk-in pantry with built-in shelving and a coffered ceiling with wood beams. A unique component of the kitchen is a pass-through serving bar that assists in connecting to the outdoor kitchen area which is perfect for hosting parties for family and friends. All design aspects of this living space was created to optimize the waterfront views from almost every angle for building on a waterfront lot.
Outside, the fully equipped outdoor kitchen offers additional bar seating, a high vaulted ceiling and 180° of breathtaking waterfront views. Nearby, a rear staircase off the great room leads downstairs to the ground level covered lanai and offers an additional 199 square feet of storage space. Next to this storage space is even more storage/unfinished space with sliding glass doors that would work well as a future build-out for a family game room, man cave or even in-law suite! The ground level also hosts a two car garage that could easily be used as a tandem garage for the storage of a boat or additional vehicles.
The Marsh Harbour House Plan provides traditional style along with beautiful symmetry and character, so sit out back under the covered lanai and enjoy all the amenities this Olde Florida home plan has to offer!
