The architectural design for a new “Coastal Breeze” model home has been completed and will be built by America South Building & Development here in Southwest Florida.
This functional three bedroom and three bath west indies house plan has a great room layout and lends itself to a more casual lifestyle with 2,526 square feet of an open design concept. The exterior is composed of a textured stucco finish with exposed truss tails, wood brackets, decorative louvers and applied decorative shutters. A board and batten siding on the gable above garage door completes this transitional West Indies façade with an Olde Florida influence.
From the drive, take a few steps up to the covered front porch and enter through a large wooden door with side lights and transom. The welcoming foyer offers 14 foot ceilings with wood beams and a direct view through the great room to the beautiful outdoors. To the right, double doors lead the way into a formal study with large double windows and transom for added natural light and a vaulted ceiling with wood beams. To the left, a hallway leads to an entry from the garage and a spacious laundry room with built-in counter and cabinet space and large windows that allow an abundance of natural light.
“The concept for this open floor plan was to provide a sense of public space and private space,” says Shawn Brakmanis, project designer for Weber Design Group. “The layout works so well for families who enjoy their time together but also separately. This great room floor plan is intended to assist in the transition of these spaces while the ceiling designs were used to define each space creating a more inviting atmosphere.”
The great room features a built-in wet bar with a sink and wine chiller perfect for entertaining guests and16 feet of sliding glass doors that pocket out of view bringing the outside in as you step out onto the covered lanai. The spacious dining room offers another 12 feet of sliding glass doors and sits adjacent to the large island kitchen which features a walk-in pantry with shelving and plenty of countertop space.
The large master suite encompasses the majority of the right side of the home. Features include a vaulted ceiling with wood beams, his and her walk-in closets and 8 feet sliding glass doors for direct access to the covered lanai.
The master bath has a vaulted ceiling with wood beams and his and her vanities including a makeup vanity separates a classic free standing tub. The shower is a duel entry walk-through shower with multiple shower heads and bench seating. There are also three clerestory windows that allow for additional natural lighting while maintain your privacy.
The remaining two bedrooms sit opposite the master suite and are accessible through the kitchen and dining areas. Both bedrooms have access to their own private bathroom and provide ample closet space with bypass doors.
We are finding that a trend for West Indies house plans is becoming more and more evident, especially in the Olde Naples areas of town and stretching out to the golf course communities.
